Training for PIA

PIA is a card scheme to prove the skills of plant operators. It is the largest and most highly recognized card scheme for the plant industry and helps prove workers’ operating skills and their health and safety awareness.

The PIA scheme provides a single skills card for the plant sector of the construction industry.

Based on a mix of professional competence, experience on site and health and safety awareness – three essential qualities for operating plant safely and efficiently. Anyone wanting to operate most categories of plant may be required to have a CITB card to work on site.
